Safaris can range widely in cost - depending on how many days, how many people, the level of luxury you're looking for and many other factors.

Africa is generally expensive and whilst you may not know exactly how much you are prepared to spend, it is crucial that you have a rough idea of what is, or isn’t, possible.

Here are examples of what you can expect to pay for a 10 day safari:

  • Budget Safaris: USD2,000 - USD3,500 per person, excluding flights
  • Mid-range/Standard Safaris: USD3,500 - USD5,500 per person, excluding flights
  • Top-end/Luxury Safaris: USD7,500 and above per person, excluding flights

Camping safari or  ‘non-safari’ holidays as beach relaxation can cost less. Like 2 day trip to Mikumi ( shouthern Tanzania) wil cost you only around 600$.
