Lake Victoria is an ideal addition to a safari in any of the countries.

The lodges here are mostly located on islands in the lake and offer fishing, water sports, wildlife experiences. 

 

Western border of Tanzania are the Mahale Mountains. National Park included Lake Tanganyika -  the world’s second deepest lakes. The only Chimpanzees and a staff of the only camp in the park living in the park. The chimps have been habituated to human contact so when you find them you can sit amongst them, only a few feet away. There are no roads in or leading to the park so the only way to access this secluded part of Tanzania is by boat or by air.

Seeing the chimps in the Mahale Mountains combines easily with a traditional big game safari in Tanzania’s Selous, Ruaha and the Serengeti.
